Terms and conditions – Hotel la Boheme B.V.
In conjunction with the Dutch Uniform Conditions for the Hotel and Catering Industry (UVH)

Article 1 – Applicability
1. These terms and conditions apply to all reservations, stays and services provided by Hotel la Boheme B.V.
2. The Dutch Uniform Conditions for the Hotel and Catering Industry (UVH) also apply to all agreements with the hotel.
3. In case of conflict between these terms and the UVH, the provision most protective of the hotel shall prevail where legally permitted.
4. By making a reservation, the guest confirms having read and accepted these terms and the UVH.
5. Dutch law exclusively applies to all agreements.
6. All disputes shall be submitted exclusively to the competent court in Amsterdam.
Article 2 – Reservations
1. Reservations may be made via the hotel website, email, telephone or external booking platforms (OTAs).
2. A reservation becomes binding once payment or a valid credit card guarantee has been received and a confirmation email has been sent.
3. The hotel reserves the right to refuse or cancel reservations in case of:
• incorrect information
• suspected fraud
• non-payment
• operational reasons
• force majeure
4. The hotel reserves the right to cancel a reservation within 12 hours after receiving the booking without stating a reason.
Article 3 – Rates and Payment
1. Non-refundable reservations must be paid within 24 hours after booking.
2. Flexible reservations must be paid no later than 7 days before arrival.
3. The hotel may perform a credit card pre-authorization prior to arrival.
4. If payment is not received, the hotel may cancel the reservation or charge the credit card.
5. Accepted payment methods include Visa, Mastercard, iDEAL, PayPal, Bancontact, Sofort, Apple Pay, Google Pay, WeChat Pay and Alipay.
Article 4 – Cancellation Policy
Flexible rate:
• free cancellation up to 7 days before arrival
• free cancellation within 24 hours after booking
After this period, 100% of the reservation amount will be charged.
Non-refundable rate:
• no refunds under any circumstances
No-show:
• 100% of the reservation amount will be charged
Early departure:
• remaining nights will be charged in full
Date modifications:
• higher rates must be paid by the guest • lower rates will not be refunded
Article 5 – Check-in and Stay
Check-in: 14:00 – 23:00 Check-out: before 11:00
Minimum age to book: 18 years.
Guests under 18 must provide written consent from parents or legal guardians.
Maximum room occupancy:
• Single room: 1 person
• Twin/Double: 2 persons (+ baby if sleeping in parents’ bed)
• Triple room: 3 persons
• Four persons possible with additional mattress (€35 per night).
Article 6 – House Rules
1. The hotel is completely non-smoking. Violation results in a €200 fine per person.
2. Pets are not allowed.
3. Causing disturbance, drug use or excessive alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited.
4. Leaving rooms in unacceptable condition (including vomit, urine, blood, food waste, cigarette remains, etc.) will be considered damage.
5. Damage to linen, furniture, curtains or other hotel property will be fully charged to the guest.
6. The hotel reserves the right to immediately remove guests from the premises without refund if these rules are violated.
Article 7 – Liability
1. The hotel is not liable for loss, theft or damage of personal belongings of guests within or around the hotel.
2. Each room contains a safe (20x31x20 cm).
3. The hotel is not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
4. The hotel’s maximum liability is limited to the value of the reservation, unless caused by gross negligence or intent.
5. Damage caused by guests will be fully recovered, including via credit card charge.
Article 8 – Force Majeure
Force majeure includes all circumstances beyond the control of the hotel including but not limited to: • fire
• pandemics
• government measures
• power outages
• strikes
• extreme weather conditions
In such situations the hotel may cancel reservations without liability for further compensation.
Article 9 – Police or Safety Incidents
If police or authorities intervene due to guest behavior: • the reservation will be immediately terminated
• 100% of the reservation will be charged
• a €200 fine per person may be imposed
• any damages or additional costs will be recovered from the guest.
Article 10 – Tourist Tax
Amsterdam tourist tax is 12.5% of the reservation amount.
This tax is included in reservations made via the hotel website and Booking.com. For Expedia reservations the tourist tax is charged upon arrival.
Article 11 – Complaints
Complaints must be reported immediately during the stay to reception or management.
If complaints are not reported during the stay, the right to compensation or complaint handling afterwards expires.
Article 12 – Privacy
Hotel la Boheme B.V. processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
